Amazon.com Review
This cherry wood-paneled digital wall clock reports the current time plus indoor and outdoor temperatures and the moon phase. The clock has a built-in antenna system that receives radio signals from the atomic clock, keeping precise time and the accurate date. Time is displayed in hours, minutes, and seconds and either 12- or 24-hour modes on the top LCD screen while the lower LCD shows the date and day of the week in English, Spanish, German, or French, along with the moon phase (of eight possible phases) and current indoor and outdoor temperatures. The clock has an alarm with a snooze option and can be set to one of 13 time zones, including all US times zones and Greenwich Mean Time.

The temperature function displays in either Celsius or Fahrenheit and is measured indoors every 10 seconds. Outdoor temperature is measured remotely via a 915 MHz transmitter (included) that can be positioned up to a maximum of 330 feet from the clock's location and is checked every 5 minutes. This clock can be wall-mounted or propped up on a desk with its fold-out stand and measures 12 by 1-1/4 by 8 inches. It comes with a TX37U-IT wireless sensor. This digital clock is covered by a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for.   February 14, 2010

We got this so we could see the temp at a quick glance, works perfect and is very easily readable, even from a distance.

5 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT CLOCK FOR PRICE   December 30, 2009

CLOCK WORKS AS ADVERTISED.. ATOMIC TIME IS GREAT! NO MORE SETTING THE TIME!
THE OUTSIDE TEMP SENSOR DEAL IS GREAT.. NICE TO KNOW WHAT THE TEMP IS

JUST PAY ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN SETTING UP AS IT CAN TAKE OVERNIGHT FOR THE INITIAL SYNC WITH ATOMIC TIME. AFTER THAT NO WORRIES

5 out of 5 stars Learning the unit..   December 6, 2009

Took a while to figure out that I simply had to take the clock off my solid concrete wall and place it face down on my desk to capture the signal. The 'vents' are on the back and simply laying it down, vents up, did the trick in this particular case.

Customer service was courteous when I phoned after a week of no signal, they gave me a case number and offered to repair the unit under warranty, however, the clock seemed to want to work well so instinct sent me to browse the more technical reviews to see if the solution was there somewhere.
Nice looking clock, definitely worth the small investment.. It suits my loft space with it's moon phase, etc. The temp sensor needs to be placed in a weather proof space, this means that its reading reflects some of the heat radiating from nearby walls or metal objects during sunny hours.
I like it, it's a handsome unit that goes beyond having a clock on your wall.

4 out of 5 stars Great technology, but a word of caution   December 3, 2009

I love this clock enough to have two of them. Therein lies the rub--as they don't necessarily play well together. I set up the other first and was delighted. For some reason the display on this one is a bit harder to read--not as bold and clear as the oak/black one--so I had to change the desired location to a place where I had a more direct line of sight. It also didn't seem to want to pick up the atomic signal in the first location even though another atomic clock had been in the same place and worked fine. Later I discovered it wasn't the location that was the problem but the fact that both clocks were trying to read the same outside temperature remote and were getting a little confused which affects the atomic synchronization. After reading the instruction booklet, I realized that having two of these clocks probably isn't that great an idea as the remote operates on only one frequency for both.

A previous clock with outside temp remote (different brand), allowed me to chose from three frequencies. I never valued that at the time, but I can now see why that is a good thing. This clock doesn't offer that option so I'm still trying to work out the bugs. It is now picking up the atomic signal fine and both clocks are working accurately although now the first one is showing low remote battery, where yesterday this one was. I don't care if both read the same outside remote as I could hold the other for backup, but so far, I haven't gotten them to cooperate entirely.

If you're only going to have one of these clocks, you shouldn't have a problem with the technology and it's super to have all the information shown and know your time is always accurate. You have the option of showing seconds instead of the outside temperature or day of the week if that's more important to you. There are three optional displays you can choose for the lower part. Although the clock sets itself overnight, it's easy to set it up to begin with if you're impatient like I am. The atomic tower icon will display once it's made a connection, but it only syncs up between midnight and 6am. It might try at other times, but will probably not be successful.

I reviewed the other clock (La Crosse Technology WS-8117U-IT-OAK Atomic Wall Clock with Outdoor Temperature) with 5 stars since the display is better and I wasn't aware of the multi-unit issue. I'm a big fan of this technology and find it amazing that all the frequencies function as reliably as they do.

The wood finish on this clock blends well with reddish dark-colored wood.

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I needed   November 27, 2009

All I needed was a wall clock for the master bath that didn't tick so I could hear it in the bedroom. What a got was a cool clock that is easily readable from the shower, doesn't keep me awake with noise or glow at night, and has the added bonus of inside/outside temp. The moon thing is kind of cool too; I've noticed the moon at night a little more, even though I'm not really paying attention to the phases. Great clock for telling you how late you are for work and not keeping you up at night.
