Amazon.com For avid outdoorspeople, boaters, or folks who just like to know what to expect, this wireless weather station provides all the stats for planning a day outside. The station reports the indoor humidity and temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius for indoor locations and outdoor locations using a remote sensor. For more accurate outdoor readings, the base unit can receive information from up to three different sensors, which can each be placed up to 80 feet away. The weather station records the minimum and maximum temperatures and humidity readings within a 24-hour period and recalls them at your prompting. The device also calculates the setting and rising times of the sun and the moon for 45 United States cities and shows the current moon phase. A forecast icon on the LCD displays weather predictions for any 12- to 20-hour time period based on changing air pressure. For added convenience, the sun/moon weather station has a clock with the accurate date and an alarm clock with snooze. For precise time- and date-keeping, the gadget has a built-in antenna system that receives signals from the WWVB radio transmitter in Fort Collins, Colorado, which is in turn is regulated by the atomic clock. For easy programming of the clock or other functions, the metal panels on the sides of the station flip open to reveal six keys. The sun/moon wireless weather station requires two AA batteries for the receiver and another two for the remote and mounts on a wall or rests on a table for readouts. This unit is covered by a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Lots of information September 5, 2008 I've been using the weather station for a couple of weeks now with no complaints. The wireless sensor linked up without a hitch and the temperature output matched the main unit in a little "same room" test I did before moving the sensor.
Great product January 4, 2005 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have used several products from the Weather Channel and La Crosse with no problems. In my directions it stated that it was very important to put the batteriies in the remote until first, wait ten minutes or so, and then put the batteries in the inside unit. For some reason, if you do not do this, the remote temperature will not be read. If James hasn't already returned his unit, perhaps he could try this and write back!
Would not recommend a product from this company! January 3, 2005 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
Love the concept, but.... I bought the 9016 model (LaCross Technologies is the mfr) for my wife/family for the holidays. After following the directions included with the unit and an exhaustive look through the FAQ's, etc. at the LaCross Technologies website, I still cannot get the outdoor temperature to read out on the unit - this has nothing to do with distance between the sensor and the unit, etc. -- it does not work. I suspect the transmitter is defective. The company's help desk and email help function on their web site is the worst... it does not ring through and eventually (20 min?) dumps you out of their system all-together. I received no responses from two emails. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST -- THEIR PRODUCTS DO NOT WORK AND THEY ARE LESS THAN GENUINE ABOUT SERVICE. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS.
