Amazon.com Review From The Weather Channel, this versatile weather station shines the outdoor temperature and time on the ceiling or a wall from its side-ported projector. The radio-controlled clock regularly resets, adapting to changes in time zone and daylight savings time. With moon, tide, and barometric pressure gauges, the weather station also comes with forecasting capabilities. On a LCD screen, the weather station displays time in 12- or 24- hour format. An alarm alerts sleeping users, while the snooze function enables extra shut-eye. A radio tower icon flashes onscreen when receiving time updates. The station monitors indoor temperatures ranging from 14.2 to 139.8 degrees F and humidity levels from 1 to 99 percent. Celsius readings are also available. Icons for twelve different moon phases follow changes in the night sky, while tide levels are described as low, medium, or high. Using the barometric air pressure data, the system depicts its forecasts with graphics for the next 12 to 20 hours. A perpetual calendar recalls annual important dates. For outdoor conditions, an included TX4U sensor communicates at a 433.92MHz frequency from up to 80 feet. The sensor registers temperatures ranging from -22 to +157.8 degrees F and humidity levels from 1 to 99 percent. The unit also recalls minimum and maximum readings for indoor and outdoor humidity percentages and temperatures. Place the freestanding weather station up to further than six feet from the projection surface. Users adjust the brightness and focus for the most legible presentation. Constant projection is possible with the use of the AC adapter. Five enclosed AA batteries power this system. The station is covered by a limited one-year warranty. The monitor measures 7-1/4 by 4-1/4 by 2-1/4 inches. This item weighs 1-4/5 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Great to see if you want to get out of bed in the morning January 6, 2009 I bought this for right next to my bed. I can hit the backlight and see how cold it is out there, and the backlight is not too bright for when it's still dark. I like it too for humidity during the winter. And for the phases of the moon. Not so much for a weather predictor tho, but all in all very useful. I refer it to many times in a day. Also, it runs on battery, so I don't have evil electric current running right next to me on my bedside table.
Eats batteries, Reads +5-7 if plugged into wall wart. December 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Tech Support response: "Yeah they run hot if you plug the power supply in. Just run it on the batteries. " If you don't plug it in, it doesn't project.

This was a birthday gift for my neighbor/friend who is a farmer. He is well pleased, therfore, so am I with the Weather Station. Accurarcy is a big factor because it's haying season and the Weather Station is accurate. Thank you for providing the perfect birthday gift to my friend the farmer.
Projection feature is super but it took a little time to set up July 21, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I like this product, particularly the projection of the correct time and outside temperature on the ceiling. I found the Barometric Pressure Tendency Arrow Forecast not to be very accurate (predictive) many times. At $45 it is worth it but not at list price. The radio-controlled clock is accurate and a very useful feature, as are the indoor and outdoor humidity and temperature readings. There are many functions that, at present, I don't make use of such as the dual zone and snooze alarm functions. Also, I don't pay much attention to the moon phases and tide displays but others may find this useful and/or novel. I'll be very interested in the useful life of the 5 batteries necessary for operation but not included. It also took me 3 attempts to get it working correctly although I feel that I used the correct method each time. Presently the outdoor sensor is mounted at about 40 feet from the base unit and I've had no transmission problems. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase at the sale price.
Great weather station June 5, 2008 This product is great, it does exactly what I was looking for. A bonus with the time and temp on the ceiling. I purchased this on a lighting deal. It is great at that price. I would not have purchased at original price with the features it has.
