Amazon.com Review
Keep informed of current weather conditions with this easy-to read wireless temperature station. From The Weather Channel, the temperature station allows users to assess outdoor temperatures to plan appropriately for weather conditions while monitoring the indoor climate for maximum comfort. The temperature station also presents the time and date by radio communication with the WWVB atomic clock in Boulder, CO.

The temperature station receiver features a simple design with an easy-to-read LCD screen. The screen relays the indoor and outdoor temperatures in Fahrenheit degrees and records the minimum and maximum temperature readings. The station also assesses the indoor humidity percentage. The included sensor evaluates outdoor conditions and transmits information to the receiver from up to 80 feet at a 433.92MHz frequency. Transmission through walls reduces this range. While the sensor fares well in fog or mist, shelter it to prevent rain damage. The temperature system measures indoor temperatures ranging from +32 to +140 degrees F. The outdoor sensor registers temperatures ranging from -21.8 to +157.2 degrees F. The temperature station hangs or can stand upright on a tabletop. The outdoor sensor comes with a mounting hardware and a detachable stand. The separate purchase of four AA alkaline batteries is required to power the receiver and sensor. Replace batteries annually for the best results. The weather station accommodates up to three remote sensors. This product is covered under a limited one-year warranty. This item weighs 10-2/5 ounces upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

2 out of 5 stars Not that great   May 30, 2008
This works pretty well, when it is actually working. Unfortunately, it stops working after about a week and then I have to take it down, reset it and then start it again. It is also completely incompatible with water, which is annoying.

Not very accurate for the outside temp. I placed several regular outdoor thermometers that agree with each other near the sending unit and the sending unit reads as much as 5 degrees off either direction. I tried different locations for both the sending unit and display unit. I removed the batteries and did the complete set-up again and still no improvement. Not happy with it.

4 out of 5 stars Solid, reliable   July 19, 2006
I've had this item in my home for about two years and it has worked well. I give it four stars because you need to have the outside transmitter closer than they suggest - maybe 25-30 feet. Otherwise, it's worth every penny.
