Amazon.com Review
Monitor temperatures with this wireless temperature station from industry leader, La Crosse Technology. Simple in design, the temperature station allows users to assess outdoor temperatures to plan appropriately for weather conditions while also keeping an eye on the indoor climate for energy efficiency and maximum comfort.

The temperature station receiver features an easy-to-read LCD screen, which relays the indoor and outdoor temperatures in Fahrenheit degrees and records the minimum and maximum temperature readings. A TX6U sensor evaluates outdoor conditions and transmits information to the receiver from up to 80 feet at a 433.92MHz frequency. Transmission through walls reduces this range. While the sensor fares well in fog or mist, shelter it to prevent rain damage. The temperature system measures indoor temperatures ranging from +32 to +140 degrees F. The outdoor sensor registers temperatures ranging from -21.8 to +157.2 degrees F. The temperature station hangs or can stand upright on a tabletop. The outdoor sensor comes with a mounting hardware and a detachable stand. The separate purchase of four AA alkaline batteries is required to power the receiver and sensor. Replace batteries annually for the best results. The weather station accommodates up to three outdoor sensors. La Crosse encloses a thorough manual for setting up the temperature station. This product is covered under a limited one-year warranty. The receiver measures 4.93 by 2.28 inches with a 1-inch depth. The sensor is approximately 5 by 1.5 by 4/5 inches. This item weighs 7 ounces. --Jessica Reuling

2 out of 5 stars Nice while it lasted   January 15, 2008
The outdoor temperature sensor stopped working after 1 year. Replacing batteries didn't work. Being that the outdoor temp measurement was what I bought the product for, it's disappointing.

5 out of 5 stars Wireless temperature station   December 28, 2007
Item easy to set up and works fine. Is a nice size to fit on the night stand beside the bed, yet nice readable numbers.

3 out of 5 stars Nice but more info needed   December 26, 2007

The only problem I ran in to was that it doesn't warn you before you buy it that you have to keep the outdoor sensor dry. Fortunately the person we bought it for has a covered porch so she can use it. If you have no place to protect it, don't bother buying it. It does work great though!
