I should have returned it after I realized that this item does not have the atomic time feature only a manual setting. The Amazon site states "Atomic Time with manual setting". This is incorrect. Second,
Min/Max Inside & Outside Temperature can not be reset to the current temperature. When reset is applied, the max temp reads two degrees above the current temperature and the min temperature reads one degree below. Can any one explain why it does not reset to the current temps? On the positive side, the temperature readings, both indoor and out, seem to be quit accurate. However, I can not recommend this item for $39.95 since it does not have the atomic time feature.

The La Crosse Wireless Weather Station (WS-9133U-IT) is a lower cost alternative to some of the other models. If you just want inside and outside temp readings with the convienence of a clock and alarm, this is for you. Plus it predicts weather with up to 75% accuracy.
I purchased this unit unit on Monday 12/22/08. By Christmas Eve day, Wednesday 12/24/08 I woke up to the gentle pitter patter of rain, which the La Crosse was accurately forecasting. How cool is that?
Setup is pretty easy but you must remember a few simple rules. Always put batteries in the wireless transmitter first. Then insert batteries into the receiver within 30 seconds for them to properly sync up. If you don't see the little "wireless" symbol within 3 minutes you need to start over, or relocate the tramitter. It is no slouch claiming a reach of 330 feet!
Be sure to put the wireless transmitter in a neutral location which never receives direct sunlight or heavy rain. Mine was in the front window and the outdoor temperature was reading 62.0 when in fact it was in the 20's. Once outside the transmitter may need an hour or more to fully acclimate to the ambient temperature for an accurate reading.
If you raise or lower the transmitter elevation you must reset both units. The pressure indicator will sense the elevation difference which may affect forecast accuracy. It needs between 48 and 60 hours to reliably forecast.
The real-time temperatures display in one tenth increments for Fahrenheit or Celsius. (XX.X) While the recorded high and low temperatures only display in whole numbers. You can easily reset the the high and low readings with the push of a button.
If you are like me, you desire accurate time. I had this unit for 9 months. It appears to keep excellent time. I have used the alarm a couple of times and find it adequate for the average person, but not for very sound sleepers. Older children would probably get a kick out of using this as a personal alarm clock and weather station. Wish I had one as a kid.
Setting the clock to the proper time does not zero out the seconds. In other words, to sync with other clocks, you have to remove both sets of batteries. Re-insert the transmitter batteries, and insert the receiver batteries on the zero mark within 30 seconds. Not as hard as it sounds.
There are low battery indicators on the display for both units. If you change the batteries in the transmitter, you need to reseat the good batteries in the receiver, and vice versa to keep them in sync. Uses a total of 5 AA batteries with about a one year life.
It comes with mounting screws and bracket for the transmitter. The receiver has a retractable leg for standing, but you need your own nail to hang it on a wall.
While not as robust as other weather stations with wind speed and precipitation indicators, it does give you temperature readings accurate within one degree. There is a chance of the forecast being wrong, so you will need to peek out the window to check for precipitation.
For the price you can't go wrong with time, forecast, and temperature at a glance. The range of the wireless transmitter makes it convienent enough for most any home.
